Graphics: This game looks like a fairly good 3-D game, and for being one of the first big hits on the DS, its really good. Food, drinks,, showering, grooming, everything looks fine. ~8~
Gameplay: Its just like raising a real life dog, but with that Nintendo twist. Along with the basics, you can adopt new dogs, up to 3 (really 5), enter contest, win money, get a new house, meet new friends. The walk are unusual too. Meet dogs, find gifts, stop at shops, the walks are actually quite fun. The gift can be pretty sweet too, Mario Kart Remote control car, “?” blocks, this game is one of the great of the DS. ~10~
Sounds: Dogs barking, eating, the slurping of the drinks, brushing, its very realistic. ~9~
Lasting Appeal: Well their isn’t a lot to do in the first place, so its pretty much the same. Feed and water them, brush and wash them, take them for walks, etc., etc. ~7~
Overall: This game was made for the DS. A great variety of dogs, contest, items to collect. This is one of the highlights for the DS. Nitendo didn't just make a simulater, they made it a fun chore as well. I give Nintendogs 9 barks out of 10.
