It's hard for me to believe that I skipped over the very first Super Smash Bros. So here it is, enjoyed!

Graphics: For being the first, you can't really set any standards. For it being a N64 game, the backrounds, characters, items are actually well designed and look decent. ~8~
Gameplay: For a fighting game, it really solid. Adding the items adds that party feeling. Playing with computers brings out the fun in the game, but playing with your friends is a lot better and really adds excitment. Classic mode, target and board the platforms are a nice additions as well. ~10~
Multiplayer: Of course, this is where the madness takes place. Playing with up to 4 players with items on high,  9 different stages with 12 different characters, it sets the standards high. ~10~
Lasting Appeal: It really depends on this. Do you want all the character and that one stage. But really, it does last really long. You cant really get bored of just fighting non-stop with your friends or teaming up with them. ~8~
Overall: Overall, the original was really fun, had some of the greatest stages. Though it doesn't have much unlockables (4 characters and 1 secret stage) isnt that exciting. Really, the characters are the only things you need, then the really fighting beginnings. I give Super Smash Bros. a 9 out of 10.
